Stewarding letters across time.
Yellowlore is a home for writers, readers, critics, and editors which is built to preserve the heritage of writing while still carrying it forward. Our first editorial arrives Q1, '27.
Letters carry more than words.
They carry time, memories, stories, imagination, perception, perspectives, history, heritage, ideologies, convictions — everything that is left once a life has been lived. Yellowlore exists because we believe that it may be fading into the pace of everything else right now: the judgment, the soul, the creativity, the human hand in the work.
"It is the storyteller who makes us what we are, who creates history." — Chinua Achebe
"History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it." — Winston Churchill
"Keep a notebook. Travel with it, eat with it, sleep with it. Slap into it every stray thought that flutters up into your brain. Cheap paper is less perishable than gray matter. And lead pencil markings endure longer than memory." — Jack London
Yellowlore is a home for anyone with a story worth telling — whether or not they have ever called themselves a writer. We are building this publicly and we are excitedly looking forward to our first editorial: real people, from entirely different walks of life, told properly.
A few things Yellowlore will not compromise on.
Human Ingenuity
We believe in the sacred human capacity to imagine, create, discern, solve, adapt and make meaning. Technology and tools exist to extend this capacity, never to replace it. The human voice is irreplaceable.
Stewardship
We believe that what has been preserved over time is what everything else is built upon. We do not merely possess ideas, traditions, or stories; we care for them and carry them forward. We preserve literary heritage while refusing to stand still.
Community
Yellowlore values community and we believe an ecosystem is only as alive as the people within. Our writers, readers, users and collaborators are the vital organs, the pulse, the fuel and the shared cellular bond that keeps this environment breathing.
Integrity
What we produce and back must never compromise our honesty or cause harm. We choose the path that holds our principles, never the one that is simply more profitable. Principles are our bottom line.
Authenticity
Yellowlore makes room for genuine human expression. We value raw originality, distinct perspectives and honest creative voices. Yellowlore is a space where people can truly exist, express, and evolve.
A Bounded Welcome
We welcome all individuals who wish to engage with the craft of writing and be enriched by this space, regardless of background or belief. However, entry into this environment requires alignment with our foundational standards of conduct. The invitation to join is wide; the standard for remaining is non-negotiable.
Different lives. Different stories. Told specially.
Our debut editorial pairs the written word with the lens of photography. Our contributors are everyday people from entirely different walks of life, sharing honest fragments of their minds from their unique perspectives. Here, readers will encounter unorthodox voices writing from the very places where art is least expected to grow.

Join the community
Yellowlore is building a community that is open to anyone who wants to write, read, and be enriched by both. We look forward to sharing:
- Weekly prompts and honest conversation about the writing process
- Insights on writing, reading and creativity
- First look at our quarterly editorials
- A space to share and contribute your own writing and be read
Join the volunteer team
We are commencing by first forming a volunteer editorial team that will help shape what Yellowlore publishes — reviewing submissions, setting editorial voice, and building our first quarterly editorial.
- A real seat at the table, not a finished machine to join
- Hands-on editorial and community-building work
- Early involvement in something still taking shape
Submit your writings and creative thoughts.
Our first editorial features writers who never called themselves writers. If you have a story worth telling, we want to hear about it — no formal writing background required.

Everything published through Yellowlore still belongs to the person who wrote it. We publish it, credited to you — we never claim ownership.
Beyond publishing, we are building toward real support for the business side of writing: guidance on copyright and trademark registration, contracts for you and your collaborators, and structuring a writing career or business from the ground up. If that is something you need, reach out — I mean, we are figuring out how to serve this well, one writer at a time.
